In the Epilogue Part 5: David’s Mighty Warrior’s Hall of Fame, the credit for David’s success went to the Lord. The Lord orchestrated and commanded every man and moment from beginning to end. David was the vessel that God chose to work through to accomplish His purposes. He was the “example” of God’s king. His heart for the Lord, combined with his skill as a warrior and charisma as a leader, made him a great king. But there were others, he did make Israel a great nation by himself.
David had the devotion of an amazing group of great men, famous in their own right. — called the Mighty Warriors. The Mighty Warriors were an elite group of fearless fighters loyal to King David. They were David’s inner circle of support, both militarily and politically. They were an unusual and diverse group that included Israelites and foreigners like Zelek the Ammonite and Uriah the Hittite. The members changed as some died and were replaced, so the list contains more than 30 names, but at any given time, there were probably 30.
