Drumroll, please.....Exodus is here! We started with Genesis and as we know Genesis' narrative rolls straight into Exodus ( and Numbers, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy but who is counting). So book #2 for Bible Book Club is Exodus. Settle in and join Susan and Heather as we see God's

We have made it through Genesis and now we pick up in Exodus.. Join the Bible Book Club as we take on book #2 with the Exodus overview.

Exodus 1 and 2 bring us to Moses' birth The miracle of Moses' birth against the odds show God's hand in the plan to rescue his people.

Moses lived 120 years and his life was split into thirds equally. Listen in Exodus 2 and 3 how his life was spent to prepare his leadership.

In Exodus 4, we discuss the cycle of doubt that Moses follows with God. Moses obeys but it isn't without a few excuses attempted first!

In Exodus 5 and 6, we see Moses and Aaron in obedience to God take on Pharaoh at the sweet ages of 83 and 80.

Exodus 6 and 7, our story turns to how God will deliver the Israelites---i.e. plagues. (And they aren't pretty.)

Exodus 8 and 9 cover 5 rounds of plagues, getting progressively worse each round. This episode we delve into the significance of each.

We are getting to the end of the fight between God and Egypt in Exodus 9-10. God wraps up to fight and prepares to liberate the Israelites.

In Exodus 10-11, God completes the plagues and Moses sees his passion developed into his purpose. Moses becomes a leader through obedience.

In Exodus 12, we see God preparing the Israelites for their exit with the Passover ceremony. He gives all Jews the chance to show their faith.

In exodus 13-14, we see the showdown between God and Pharaoh in a scene of a split Red Sea. Israelites once again learn to trust and obey.

In Exodus 15-16, Israelites grumble. It's here that we see the grace of God as he provides for the ungrateful people daily.

In Exodus 17-18, we see the Israelites get attacked by the Midianites. Moses battles fatigue the people learn to work with Moses for once.

In Exodus 19-20, we see God lay down the law of his chosen nation through the 10 Commandments. This law helped to set apart God's people.

In Exodus 21-22, Moses includes details the laws in the Book of the Covenant. God is laying the groundwork for how the nation should live.

In Exodus 23, Moses details more of the civil laws God gave to the nation of Israel. They include everything from worship to property.

In Exodus 24, the Angel gets an even bigger spotlight and the Mosaic Covenant is outlined for Moses to share with the nation.

In Exodus 25-27, we get the details that make the tabernacle. We get an outline of the tabernacle, the courtyard, the lampstand.

In Exodus 28 and 29, we see the intricate nature and symbolism that went into every part of the priest's garments.

In Exodus 30 and 31, we see the final details of God's plans for the tabernacle. We receive instructions for the daily offerings to God.

In Exodus 32, explore themes of faith, leadership, and redemption as Moses pleads for his people amidst rebellion and divine wrath.

In Exodus 33-34, we are seeing the aftermath of a breakup scene between the Israelites and God. Moses mediates on their behalf.

In Exodus 35-37,  we discover the divine pattern and purpose behind God's instructions for building the tabernacle and observing the Sabbath.
